The EPA Tells the Truth About Cap and Trade!
During a hearing, held by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) got the Environmental Protection Agency administrator, Lisa Jackson, to admit the so-called Cap and Trade bill would FAIL! Inhofe produced a chart that the EPA produced in 2008. The same chart that was used to debate another cap and trade bill sponsored by Lieberman-Warner.
What did the chart show that made EPA administrator Lisa Jackson admit the bill would FAIL? The produced chart showed that the carbon reductions, under the Waxman-Markey bill, “would NOT materially effect global carbon concentrations in the atmosphere.” Who didn’t already know this?
Two hundred and nineteen (219) individuals is the answer to the question above. The same 219 members of the House of Representatives, lead by Henry Waxman (D-California), who failed to read the bill the EPA now claims will FAIL! 212 individuals saw the bill for what it was: a giant energy tax for America.
Jackson stated that she “believes that essential parts of the chart are that the U.S. action alone will not impact CO2 levels.” Stop laughing! Each time you laugh or exhale, you are just adding more of that evil CO2 to the atmosphere.
Of course, you have to have that one Libtard who refuses to believe in this admission because it goes against his feckless leader’s, President Obama, agenda to tax the hell out of the working class. Who is he? Steven Chu, the Energy Secretary.
The Energy Secretary does not agree with the EPA chart, even though the best climate experts (not Al Gore) back up what Inhofe and Jackson concluded. Even a study produced by MIT admitted that the cap and trade would not work the way some claimed it would. It is really amazing what you can learn when you take the time to read proposed legislation!
MIT concluded: “The different U.S. policies have relatively small effects on the CO2 concentration if other regions do not follow the U.S. lead. The Developed Only scenario cuts only about 0.5 °C of the warming from the reference, again illustrating the importance of developing country participation.”
Why is that statement important, you ask? Well, China and India, two of the world’s largest developing nations, refused to build a global consensus by the end of this year, as reported in the New York Times. India’s Environment Minister, Jairam Ramesh, told Bloomberg News that “India will not accept any emission-reduction target — period. This is a non-negotiable stand.”
You should know the bill is severely flawed when China makes a statement that the Waxman-Markey bill is in “violation of World Trade Organization rules.” OUCH! Hold on…did China read a bill that our 219 Representatives didn’t? Doesn’t this make our Reps embarrassed? I highly doubt it.
Maybe situations like this could be avoided if those that sponsor and supposedly represent the America taxpayer, read such bills. Imagine the money that has been wasted holding these hearings. Imagine if most of them understood the Cap and Trade rhetoric.
I’m not an environmental expert or economist but I do obtain a ton of common sense. Global Warming is a myth and most free-thinking individuals know this. Those that speak about Global Warming are only out to make a profit from the claim. Al Gore left office and was estimated to be worth about $2 million dollars.
He is estimated to be worth over $100 million dollars today. Hmm, that’s an increase of $98 million since leaving office in 2000. Sounds like a pretty smart business plan to me.
Just looking at the economic impact, anyone could see the future outcome. Any business that produces CO2 emissions, which is only every single corporation in America, would be required to “purchase” so-called carbon credits. Facilities that come in under that allowable limit because of air pollution control systems can then sell their leftover allowances to other facilities and organizations on the open market.
Corporations that produce larger amounts of emissions can purchase these “carbon credits” so they can pollute more. Now doesn’t that sound like an excellent plan. Pollution still continues except now there would be a price for it.
Every corporation would be required to retrofit their business, which would cost millions of dollars. Guess who is going to pay for that retrofit? The American Taxpayer. Hell, even the Obama admitted this!
So, the more time we are allowed to review any of Obama’s goals, the more we find out what total pieces of crap they tend to be. Stimulus package. FAIL! Cap and Trade. FAIL! We can only hope Obamacare…FAILS!
