My Politically Incorrect Point of View

With the health care debate in full throttle, the public option that President Obama wants is a major sticking point. This is not the only issue that many are concerned about. Another factor is how will Obama’s health care reform be paid for?

I have written many articles about this so-called “health care reform” or “Obamacare.” I have stated opinions and projections given by the Congressional Budget Office. Obama and the Democrats refuse to listen to anything that goes against their agenda.

On Tuesday, while the entire nation was watching Sotomayor duck, dodge and back-step questions during her confirmation hearing, the House Democrats unveiled their health care plan. This just happened to be the same day the CBO released their report on the bill. While you are distracted, they approve another tax bill.

Now, those individuals who are still dreaming seriously need to wake up. This is going to affect every single American taxpayer. The Democrats have to find a way to cover the expense of this massive scheme and have already claimed they are going to tax anyone they can.

They want to tax the rich (anyone over $250,000) and now they have small businesses in sight. If you fail to “provide” health insurance for your employees, the Democrats want to tax 8% of a businesses payroll. They call it a penalty when it actually is a tax.

If you are a business owner whose payroll exceeds $400,000, you will HAVE TO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE INSURANCE or pay the 8 % penalty (tax). If your business has a payroll between $250,000 and $400,000 a year, you will pay a smaller “penalty” (tax). Below $250,000 and you are exempt. Thank your Government for “allowing” YOU to run YOUR businesses.

That “NOT ONE DIME” claim by Obama has, again, turned out to be a huge LIE! The CBO has already debunked every claim Obama and his Democratic followers have made. All this and they still continue to push ahead.

What do you think these small business owners are going to do in order to offset the expense of providing health insurance to their employees? 1) They will for-go providing insurance to their employees and take the 8 % “penalty” (tax) or 2) the business owners will provide health insurance but reduce their workforce to offset the costs.

Common sense is something this plan does not include. As a small business owner, I know what I would be forced to do. I would be forced to provide insurance and at the same time, forced to hand some employees their walking papers.

Well, they said unemployment was going to rise above 10 %. I guess the Obama administration wants to make sure that comes true. Maybe this will be one promise he will keep?
