Here We Go Again…Obama Did Not Read the Health Care Reform Bill!
In the short 6 months of his Presidency, Obama is everywhere. He is on the television, everyday, trying to sell the American public this bill and that bill. He holds prime-time ad campaigns for this bill and that bill.
Its all Obama…ALL THE TIME. This bill is urgent and it must be passed or else. Its the same old rhetoric…ALL THE TIME.
President Obama wants this bill rushed and that bill rushed. He gives demands and sets time limits. He is the ultimate bully-in-chief.
Beside television, Obama has pushed his agenda in every media field imaginable. His love of wanting to be a product salesman just backfired during a conference call with leftist bloggers. This is becoming a symptom of this administration.
During a conference call with leftist bloggers, Obama was urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health care plan as soon as possible. ObamaCare is so awesome and this leftist bloggers are still under the hope & change fairy dust the President continues to sprinkle in their eyes. However, one of these bloggers woke up and asked a very important question.
A blogger from Maine informed President Obama that he kept running into an article in Investors Business Daily which claimed that Section 102 of the House bill would outlaw private insurance. He asked Obama “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” What Obama said may shock some of you, others like me already expected as much.
President Obama replied to the question by saying “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.” Are you f*cking serious? How does a President go out and pitch this piece of sh*t he calls health care reform and not know what is in this totally awesome bill. Quote starts at 17:10
After admitting that he doesn’t know his own product, Obama once again made the statement “If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.” How can this snakeoil salesman keep making this promise when he is not familiar with his own health care legislation? Am I the only one who is infuriated about our leaders not knowing what the f*ck they are trying to sell us?
The House bill does not outright outlaw private individual health insurance. It just will regulate it out of existence. The bill allows private insurance to be sold by the insurance companies but only in the form of “Exchange-participating health benefits plans.” Basically, the insurance companies will have to conform to a ton of new regulations that include community rating and guaranteed issue.
Eventually, these new regulations will skyrocket the cost of private health insurance and force everyone onto the “public option” that Obama and the Libtards love. Don’t laugh because these new regulations will affect ALL INSURANCE PLANS! What do you think of ObamaCare now.
How do you think your employer is going to handle skyrocketing insurance costs? It will become so expensive that most companies will make two choices. 1) The cost will force companies to dump employees into the government plan and 2) the companies will cut the cost of being penalized 8 % of their payroll (because they decided not to “provide” health insurance) by terminating employees. Sounds like another awesome plan to me!
Once again, Obama and the Debt-o-crats have failed to READ THEIR OWN LEGISLATION. Its sorta like a car salesman pitching a car he knows nothing about. How can anyone believe Obama and his administration’s claims when he CAN’T even explain it to his own followers?
This is getting to be a habit. I can’t understand how someone can pitch this bullsh*t and stand in front of America and make such claims while demanding that it should be signed into law before anyone has read it. How’s that hope and change feeling now America? Gotta love such “transparency!”
Our President is in an all out media campaign to pass a bill that he admits he has not read and is not familiar with. It is a disease with this administration and Congress. I hope we find the cure in 2010 and end illiteracy at the same time!

Nice article. Congress wasn’t designed to move quickly to ensure that such sloppy legislation wouldn’t get through. They need to slow down and think about what they’re doing for once.
Are you fuckin serious? You think Obama is going to outlaw health insurance companies? He didn’t recall what section 102 of the bill says. Oh OBVIOUSLY he knows nothing about whats in the bill and is trying to out law insurance companies!! !! Panic now and avoid the rush! Dude you are spouting straight up insurance company propaganda. Insurance companies would have us believe anything that restricts them in any way is bad. Just trust them to regulate themselves and all will be fine. Listen to Wendell Potter if you can find the time. Sounds like he wrote your script but now he is bailing out on the insurance companies exposing the deceptions.

By the way, I think they should be put out of business they are doing nothing to improve the quality or efficency of our health care system. Let ‘em sell suplements but give us Single Payer now. They are parasites. As you can see I’m a little less trusting of big business than you.
Max, brother, its obvious you can’t read either. Did you not see where I state “The House bill does not outright outlaw private individual health insurance. It just will regulate it out of existence.”
I’m in no way for the insurance companies. I just research and figure things out for myself. Obama is trying to sell this crappy so-called health care reform and hasn’t read the entire bill (which is common in politics).
How do you think anyone can compete with the federal government? They have a unlimited money supply…taxpayers. The government competing with any industry is going to drive them out of business. As I have said before, its like having a referee play and call the game. No competition!
The government should only be handling REGULATION of the industry. Maybe you are one of those who believes the government will IMPROVE the health care industry…I don’t. Look at anything they have tried to “help” with.
I do not want the government mandating my health care. I enjoy paying for my own insurance and being free to do what I want. You trusting the government more than yourself is a little scary to me.
Government should REGULATE the insurance companies and the health care providers. Both of those industries are the ones who need government intervention. However, the government should not be involved in selling health care insurance.
How funny is it when you hear the claims that the government will save us money. That has, and never will, happen. The government is just as big of a parasite than the insurance/healthcare providers.
Fuck you very much my brother I can read fine, but you cant see over the insurance company balls that are on your eyes. I understood what you said I just found it to be silly. Obama is trying to save insurance companies. When you say you want to pay for your health care, you can do that, enjoy. Maybe you think business should be our benefactor and that all those old people using medicare are not better off than if they had nothing. I know many of those people and without medicare they would be fucked. You simply live in a dream world, where insurance companies will protect you if you are in need. Ignore the fact that they dont. Ignore what Wendell Potter says, you obviously know more than he does. You are totally missing the point, its not about trusting government or insurance companies. Its about not paying a 3rd party to profit on health care, there is no benefit in that to anyone except the 3rd party payer.
I know you dont want any regulation, and deregulation has served us so well its not like we had to bailout insurance companies or anything like that. Health insurance companies bring NOTHING to the table for Americans, only to stockholders. Its ignorant to think this is about trusting government, its about moving into the modern world and doing what industrialized nations do, ie providing national health care for citizens. But many Americans want to live the dream of the past and keep pretending that these large corporations are making the country a better place. Look at the increase in medical bankruptsys, look at how that doesnt happen in systems with national health care. You want to trust insurance companies to bail you out. Good trust them, I would prefer to have gaurenteed care rather than care contingent on an insurance company deciding not to drop my coverage because it might cost them too much. What a shame it would be if there were no more health insurance companies, I will shed a tear for the threat to them tonight. The lines you are selling are right out of the insurance company boardrooms, so i guess its dependable.
Respect
Max, every single time you leave a comment…its just bunch of rambling rants. The topic of the article is on Obama not knowing whats in the health care plan he is pushing. You have a tendency to ramble and ask several questions. Then when it is answered…you go off.
If you don’t like my OPINIONS…don’t read my articles. Just a note…curse me again and I’ll simply block your comments. Another note…break your rambling rants up in paragraphs so others can enjoy them. Thanks.
Oh im sorry I cursed, you. You can continue to insult me and I will act sweet to you. If you will keep it socratic I will, i didn’t know curse words bothered you, I guess insults are ok with you if they dont have “bad words in them”.
Please forgive my poor editing in web threads, you may also want to insult my spelling. That will give you an advantage.
You said ” The topic of the article is on Obama not knowing whats in the health care plan he is pushing.” But you rambled for an entire page and only mentioned one thing, sec 102 that Obama is accused of having not known. If thats what the article is about it is not very well supported.
You say “If you don’t like my OPINIONS…don’t read my articles” I think you may be doing just that, but I actually read things from people I dont agree with rather than just things that support my own view.
Max, its obvious that you haven’t seen Obama rambling everytime he holds a national tv sales pitch. The man admitted that he was not familiar with a section. Shouldn’t any salesman know the product he is pitching…inside and out?
Its kinda like a car salesman trying to sell you a car he knows nothing about. I’m sorry that this doesn’t piss you off…but I know many people who are fed up with our politicians admitting that they haven’t read or have no idea what is in bills they produce…like the stimulus bill…not a single Democrat read the damn thing…yet they all voted for it.
Henry Waxman, co-sponsor of the Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade bill, admitted on tv that he had no clue what all was in his own bill. Steny Hoyer laughed when someone asked if he had read the bill. Not funny to the American taxpayers who are getting screwed by this crap.
My article is very well supported because I used Obama’s own words. Straight from the camels mouth as the saying goes. His own words vouch for my article.
Actually, I have several friends on this site who do not share my political beliefs and I read and comment on most of the things they write. More often than not, I agree with them on some terms and disagree on others.
I think since you are so opinionated yourself, you should blog like the rest of us. Until then, we can agree to disagree Max. No hard feelings.
Scotty,
Me opinionated? Ok, well maybe a bit. Of course no hard feelings I enjoy good debate. I presume you to be a worth advisary. And I do blog a bit.
I am however unclear as to why you come off as such a partisan when much of what you say is a condemnation of both parties it seems the finger is disproportionatly pointed at Obama.
And I am thinking you never bothered to listen to Wendell Potter. Because I don’t know how you could be aware of what he has revealed and still maintain the illusion that having a 3rd party payer is of any benefit.
I also take exception with hyperbolic rhetoric; example you say
“The man admitted that he was not familiar with a section.”
Thats “A” singular section.
When you say “Shouldn’t any salesman know the product he is pitching…inside and out?”
Really? If I were to use your tactics I would say “Obviously you” have no idea about how governing is done and how many things a President is expected to keep track of and how advisors get used.
But I would prefer not to take your tact. I would simply say that yes such things irritate me as well and I have been bitching about them since before everyone signed the Patriot Act without reading it, however, it is a totally bipartisan maliase. I would never defend Obama’s policies but I would also not condem him on a partisan basis, when what he is doing is done on both sides of the isle as you yourself pointed out.
Single Payer is favored by the majority of the public and that majority has been steadily increasing. Insurance companies know this fact and have bought and paid for our congress and the White House to attempt to protect their profits in the face of mounting public pressure.
