Obama Doesn’t Know the Definition of a Tax
During an interview on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopulis, President Obama continued his campaign to sell American taxpayers his version of health care reform. One of the questions was about requiring all individuals to buy health insurance or face a “fine” which is a tax to everyone, unless you read Obama’s dictionary. You know it is getting pretty bad when you have Stephanopulis pulling out definitions from a dictionary and reading what the definition of a “tax” is to our Dear Leader.
Tax: “To tax (from the latin taxare: to estimate, which in turn is from tangere: to touch) is to impose a financial charge or other levy upon a taxpayer…” This is not how Obama views the definition of tax. The Dear Leader does not believe that requiring people to get health insurance is a tax increase.
This is a requirement. Its a mandate. This is not a choice. Obama is mandating that everyone will be required to purchase health insurance to “share the cost burden” fairly among all. If you do not do what the Dear Leader requires, you will face “financial penalties.”
Again, the Dear Leader uses the terrible analogy about states requiring everyone to have auto insurance. He is again wrong. The only people required to have auto insurance are the ones who drive. What’s next? A DMV analogy?
Obama did make history on Sunday. He was the president to appear on five (5) Sunday network shows. Golf clap for our Dear Leader.
Obama even found time to talk to Univision’s “Al Punto” (”To the Point”) where he lied and said that “strong opposition” to his plan is a “political strategy.” He only forgot to mention that those in his very own party do not believe in the steaming pile of bullshit he is attempting to feed the taxpayers. Not only are Republicans against it, so are Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and anyone else with common sense.
I find it funny that the Dear Leader can go on every morning talk-show and yet he refuses to go on Fox News. Maybe he is afraid to have his feelings hurt when he is taken to task on the matter of how he plans on paying for “his” plan without raising taxes or adding to the deficit.
As Sen. Lindsey Graham of S.C. said: “He’s (Obama) been on everything but the Food Channel.” Give the Dear Leader time senator. Obama is a media whore. It will eventually happen.
