Obama’s Stimulus “Creates or Saves” 30,383 Jobs
Congratulations to President Obama and the stimulus sheriff Joe Biden. That jolting jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs $787 billion stimulus scam “created or saved” exactly 30,383 Federally Contracted jobs. This is from a report by government watchdog group, Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, which oversee how the stimulus money is spent.
So, for 9 months of “stimulus” we “gained” 30,383 jobs while losing hundreds of thousands during these 9 months. Could Obama and Biden please explain to the taxpayers how this stimulus scam is working and/or doing as expected? That adds up to 3,376 jobs “saved or created” each month since Obama and the Democrats passed this “shovel ready jobs” scheme.
The Wall Street Journal reports it this way:
“Separately, the White House had to contend with new reports Thursday showing that 30,000 jobs have been directly created or saved by contractors who received money from the $787 billion stimulus package for infrastructure and social programs. The companies reported that they have been awarded about $16 billion, of which $2 billion has been paid out, according to a summary by the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, which oversees how the stimulus plan is carried out.
The Obama administration has labored to explain how the job numbers reported by contractors square with a projection from the Council of Economic Advisers that the overall package kept one million jobs in the economy through August that would otherwise have been lost.”
$16 billion dollars for 30,383 jobs? That comes out to $526,610 per jobs “created or saved.” Who says government isn’t effective?
It will be fun to hear Obama explain away the one million jobs estimate by his Council of Economic Advisers. It is really annoying to watch the President, like on Thursday in New Orleans, continue to make the fraudulent claims that the stimulus is doing its job. It is almost as bad as his slogans.
The sad fact is that they told us time and time again that the stimulus is doing the job they intended. The American Recovery Act was never designed to produce the jobs Americans need. It has been and always will be about redistributing the wealth at the taxpayer’s expense.
I’m getting whiplash from the same ole rhetoric. He opens his mouth and last months speech peppered with a few new words come out, and back around the merry-screw-America carousel we go. “Saved jobs” are merely the jobs that have not been cut yet, and making jobs…well, if you want to work for the government, then yea, they might have. Roadwork, an area where jobs rarely die anyway, is continuing but don’t BS yourself, those jobs along with the paychecks end up in Mexico’s hands. Now, with having done nothing to improve the economy, we have some really bright brains working on Amnesty…can we just call Lindsey Graham a Democrat in Republican’s company? If production of hot air held any amenities that paid, this administration has produced; otherwise…it’s just more political bull that does not pass muster.
