BS Alert: White House Claims They Saved or Created 1 Million Jobs

Here we go again. The Obama administration is back peddling the “save and or created” slogan. Last week, over at recovery.gov, we could see data that showed only 30,383 jobs were created by the stimulus package. Then the Associated Press came out and fact-checked this claim and found a 5,000 jobs created error. The White House bitch, Robert Gibbs, tried to play it off as if the errors were no big deal.

Now the Obama administration is attempting to “make it better” with a claim that the stimulus has “saved or created” 1 million jobs. A partial accounting covering half the stimulus money spent since February confirmed that 650,000 jobs were directly saved or created. Could someone tell us the truth?

The recovery.gov web site, ran by the Obama administration, claims one number. The Associated Press said those numbers were false and now the White House puts out the number 1 million but a partial accounting “confirms” 650,000 jobs saved or created. I believe we have to call bullshit, bullshit.

All the claims of saved or created jobs is just that. Unemployment jumped from 7.6 % to 9.8 % under Obama and after the stimulus plan was passed. Obama stated that if “his” plan was passed, unemployment wouldn’t go above 8 % and it would produce 3.5 million jobs by the end of 2010. Sounds like someone has a little explaining to do. This is just an attempt to fool the taxpayers and it is not passing the test.

The reality is that the U.S. has lost 3.3 million jobs since Obama took office. Obama promised 3.5 million REAL jobs, not these make-believe jobs that are claimed. These totals put Obama in the hole by 6.8 million. Looks like Obama needs to stop campaigning, fund-raising and golfing, so he can start producing real results.
