The Stimulus is Working…Unemployment is Now at 10.2 Percent
How’s that stimulus working for you, America? Obama made the claim that if the “stimulus” bill was passed, unemployment wouldn’t go above 8 percent. Right behind that claim was the claim that the stimulus was about Jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs. and the stimulus would create 3.5 million new jobs by the end of 2010. So, how is that stimulus working for you?
Unemployment is now at 10.2 percent. You are probably wondering, how can unemployment numbers continue going higher when Obama and Biden continue to “save and create” jobs? Unemployment was at 7.6 percent before the stimulus. The Obama administration claims we were losing “750,000″ jobs per month. If we were losing “750,000″ jobs at 7.6 percent unemployment, how many real jobs are being lost at 10.2 percent?
As you can see, the Obama administration is really terrible with numbers. Their numbers never add up. Mythical math?
Why isn’t the Obama stimulus bill working? Because it was never designed to work. Obama and the Democrats are intentionally holding out spending the money set aside for the stimulus bill so they can pump it all out around the time for the 2010 mid-term elections. Don’t take my word for it?
Larry Summers, director of Obama’s National Economic Council admitted to this scheme:
“Both administration and independent forecasts predicted that only a very small part of the total job creation expected from the Recovery Act would take place within six months,” he continued. “Indeed, a Council of Economic Advisers’ study predicted that only 10 percent of the total job impact of the Recovery Act would take place during calendar year 2009. Given lags in spending and hiring, the peak impact of the stimulus on jobs was expected not to be achieved until the end of 2010.”
Until the end of 2010? Why would the Obama administration withhold a majority of the $787 billion stimulus plan until the end of 2010? It’s simple stupid.
Americans will be waiting in the unemployment lines in 2009 and most of 2010. Then the stimulus money will be pumped into the system, thus making unemployment numbers drop. Then Obama and the Democrats will claim that they have lowered the unemployment rate and run on that theme.
The stimulus is nothing more that a political scheme. Obama and the Democrats promised lower unemployment numbers and more jobs. Both promises have failed, so the stimulus is a failure. No matter how Obama and the Democrats try to spin it, their stimulus plan hasn’t stimulated America.
Good news. Obama just signed a bill that extended unemployment benefits. Keep ’em on the government dime long enough and they will become dependant upon the government. That’s the Cloward-Piven plan. Overwhelmn the system until it collapses. This is an area Obama has succeeded in.

scotty you are so quick to criticize but you answered your own question in the first paragraph.
“the claim that the stimulus was about Jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs. and the stimulus would create 3.5 million new jobs by the end of 2010. So, how is that stimulus working for you?”
This is 2009 not 2010 so according to your own statement, the time has not arrived for the jobs to kick in - there is still a whole year left before what you consider a lie to be proven a lie.
I’m just saying…
Well, lets look at this as reality and not through a followers eyes. Under Obama, we have lost 3.3 million jobs (*Burea of Labor and Statistics). Obama claimed 3.5 to 4 million jobs would be created by the stimulus. Obama said passing the bill would IMMEDIATELY create JOBS. IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watch this video and take notice of Obama’s mouth moving and the words IMMEDIATELY falling out.
Obama’s own words: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2MjQ17kDng
That leaves him in the hole to the tune of 6.8 million jobs. Guess you believe he will meet this claim?
Obama’s economic adviser, Christina Romer, came out and stated the stimulus has peaked and wouldnt do much in 2010. The entire bill was a sham. The only ones to benefit from the stimulus were unions, banks and the auto industry.

So, if the stimulus has peaked and we believe in the jobs “saved or created,” the stimulus has failed miserably.
the reality is that the average person does not have the ability to predict the future, neither Obama nor Romer; the reality is that while jobs have been lost “under Obama” those jobs were not lost as a result of anything Obama did but instead the fall began under someone else’s watch.
The reality is that even though jobs were lost in October it was not in the numbers of the previous months - so it is just possible that the stimulus restricted the free fall.
Reality is that Obama continuously stated things would get worse before they got better. The reality is that Obama is extending UI benefits for those who are still unemployed and no one is complaining about that government spending. The reality is Obama did not have a magic wand that would instantly employ those who lost their jobs.
Time is all that is left - so give the efforts that have been made time to work.
Reality is Obama was a part of the Senate for 2 years under Bush and the Dems had control since 2007. So the jobs lost started under Democratic control of both the House and Senate. Under Bush, unemployment was 7.6 % (2008). Under Obama its 10.2 %…major difference!!!
Obama told America his stimulus would create jobs. It hasn’t. The reality is that Obama promised if the stimulus was passed, unemployment wouldn’t go above 8 percent. Both of his promises FAILED…BADLY!
Obama extended Unemployment benefits which is another burden upon the taxpayers. All this spending and extended benefits has to be paid by the taxpayers. If Obama’s stimulus worked, there would be no reason to extend unemployment benefits.
If jobs were the number one goal of this “stimulus”…Obama failed. If jobs were the number one goal, why have they only spent $194 billion? Shouldn’t they have pumped it all into the system to create jobs?
They are holding off until the 2010 elections. Even the blind can see this scam. Reality is people put too much faith into a man that claimed to be different but is nothing more than the typical politician!!
As always, Scotty, right on target!
Reality is a funny fickle word, especially in the United States.
